• No. 8sri6, collected May 9, in Silver canyon in the White
mountains opposite Laws, Inyo county, growing on the banks
of a small stream, the plants low and matted together. Deter-
mined by Professor Greene, who says it “is what I think every-
body has always called this, rightly or wrongly.”
