Habitat
On minor ridge of glacial deposits at bottom of canyon; flat to gently N and E-facing slope with loose dry rocky (quartzite) soil. In opening between stands of Picea engelmannii and Abies lasiocarpa with Phlox pulvinata, and Erigeron compositus. Locally common.
