  • Location

United States of America. Ohio. Near Cincinnati.

  • Habitat

    On wood.

  • Description

Noted by M. Stadler: "Specimen depauperate, Morphology in agreement with Ju & Rogers (1996). Unfortunatley, the HPLC profile is not very conclusive. Besides BNT, most of the other compounds detected appear to be unknown, but one of them could correspond with multiformin C, which would be an indication that this is actually related to Annulohypoxylon multiforme, previously in sect. Annulata.".

  • Collection Notes

    H. ianthinum determination in notes attached to packet mounting sheet signed by Cooke: "3804 may be H. ianthium but is is not the typical form exactly. Fruit agrees with no other species . . . . " Unattributed response (possibly Ellis): "3804 and 3804a seem to me to be the same."
