  • Description

Noted by M. Stadler: "Specimen depauperate, Morphology in agreement with Ju & Rogers (1996). Unfortunatley, the HPLC profile is not very conclusive. Besides BNT, most of the other compounds detected appear to be unknown, but one of them could correspond with multiformin C, which would be an indication that this is actually related to Annulohypoxylon multiforme, previously in sect. Annulata.".

Note: Annot. by J.H. Miller: "Good spec." . . . Annot. by Yu-Ming Ju (26 May 1992): "LECTOTYPE of Hypoxylon papillatum Ellis & Everh., A. Commons, 2160. "Miller (1961) selected Smith C.L. no 28 & 57 as the type materials. Those two specimens conflict with his concept of this taxon. Among the syntype materials, the Commons specimen no 2160 is the one in the best condition. Therefore, it is selected as the Lectotype." . . .
