Growing in short forest and on savanna. Sandstone outcrops present.

Description
Tree or treelet. Fruiting specimens 2.5-5 m tall. Leaves subcoriaceous, dark green above, pale green beneath & only slightly glaucous along midrib. (young plants are often quite glaucous there). Fruit mostly fallen, green becoming purplish. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
