    With water worn horizontally-bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh exposed rock & waterfall. Vegetation: open scrub to closed low woodland in the drier areas.

    Erect herb to 40 cm. Stems rather stout, purple-tinged. Sepals green tinged bluish purple. Corolla bright purple with large orange-yellow boss on lower lip near throat. Basal leaves often present, rather fleshy, mid-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
