Mexico. Colima. Comala Mun. Rancho El Jabali, 22 km (airline) N of Colima in the SW foothills of the Volcan de Colima. Below Lago Calabozo (Escondida) almost on the Jalisco state line.

Habitat
Cleared pasture. Natural vegetation humid montane forest. Associated with Acacia pennatula, grasses and many annuals. Scarce. Clay soils on steep volcanic slopes and alluvial flats.
