Growing below spring in steep canyon bottom in riparian forest. With Lysiloma watsoni, Heliocarpus, Iresine, Mimulus floribundus, Piper hispidum, Perityle microglossa, Castilleja tenuiflora, and Ageratina. Locally common.

2 m tall shrub with white corollas. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Fruit.
