Rank, weedy and brushy, transition zone between seasonally dry tropical semi-evergreen cloud forest (bosque mesofilo de montaña) and artificial permanent opening. With Amaranthus hybridus, Senna centranthera, Heliocarpus terebinthaceus, Bunchosia mcvaughii, and Solanum madrense.

Description
Branched shrub 2.1 m tall; branches spiny, trunk and lvs. not; cor. white; anth. yellow; young frts. proximal half green, distal half dull purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.
