Mexico. Colima. Comala Mun. Rancho El Jabali, 22 km (airline) NNW of Colima in the SW foothills of the Volcan de Colima. Colima/Jalisco line passes through ranch. Upper end of Avenida Bambues (= "Cafetal Canyon"), beyond coffee plantings.

Natural vegetation humid montane forest, but partially cleared for pasture, etc. Common. Clay soils on steep volcanic slopes and alluvial flats.

A 1.8 m high shrub; fls. white with yellow anthers. Fruit green. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.
