Mexico. Colima. Comala Mun. Rancho El Jabali, 25 km (airline) NNW of Colima in the SW foothills of the Volcan de Colima. On east side of Lago Calabozo.

Habitat
Natural vegetation humid montane (cloud) forest. Cleared area, gentle slope above lake. Associated with Bocconia at the brushy upper edge of the pasture. Fairly common. Stony clay soils on alluvial slopes.

Description
A 3-4 m high rounded shrub; fls. white with a greenish star in the middle. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.
