Habitat
Moist forest in valley bottoms, tropical wet forest with open understory on steep slopes and ridges, and areas of secondary vegetation. In abandoned banana field.

Description
Tree 5.5 m tall, pith light green, infloresence pendulous, corollas green, the lobes slightly recurved, the anthers purple outside, fruit immature, green, 1½" long, 11/8" diameter. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Fruit.
