    United States of America. Hawaii. Kauai Co. Hanalei. Koke'e State Park, rim of Kalalau Valley, southwest tributary of Kalalau Stream that crosses Highway 550 between Kalalau Lookout and Pu'u O Kila.

  • Habitat

    [Population} ca. 100 m. North (downstream) of Highway 550 and extending 30-40 m. upslope on east slope of ravine an further downstream toward edge of Kalalau Rim. In wet forest with Metrosideros polymorpha, Sadleria, Broussasia, Scaevola, Pittosporum, Hedyotis, Stenogyne purpurea, Fragaria, and Cheirodendron, and within sight of Dubautia knudsenii subsp. knudsenii and D. microcephala.

    trees or shrubs, to 3.5 m. talll. Trees or shrubs, to 3.5 m. tall. Corollas greenish-cream, aging reddish. Approximately 26 plants (mostly mature). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
