    Bald ridge top NE end of Mountain. 50% bare ground; sand loam loese. On flat ridge top in low densely thatched tundra in shallow sandy loam soil. With dominants: Silene acaulis, Poa sandbergii, P. glauca, Astragalus miser, Carex nardina, Draba oligosperma, Mertensia alpina, Arenaria congesta. Intermixed with L. argenteus (#1289).
