Habitat
Growing in low bushy cerrado with scattered trees to 6 m tall.

Description
Small tree, 2.3 m tall. Bark very thick; produced into longitudinal flutes; charred below. Blaze: wood white; cortex pale-fawn. Florets very pale lilac-purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
