Habitat
Open places, second growth and forest near streams. Very common.

Description
Suffruticose to 6 or 8 ft. high. In the glens it occasionally forms a branching tree. 12-15 ft. high. Blossoms when 1-2 ft. high. Corolla white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
