Description
Tree 40-80 feet tall. Leaves membranous, dull green above, pale green below; flowers and fruit arising on recurved hanging branches hanging on the old trunk, 15-25 feet from ground; fruuit pendent at tips of old wood; flowers on new shoots of the same branches that have the old fruit; flowering branches recurved, hanging; the rachis pale greenish; flowers very fragrant, with fragrance of sweet-scented lemon; calyx tube pale yellow, the lobes pale green with dull lavender margins; petals subcoriaceous, lemon-scented without, pale yellow, shiny orange with dull yellow stripes between; outer side filled with creamy yellow filaments; the longer filaments deep orange rose with rose stripes at base of filaments on outside; flowers decompose rapidly.
