Gentle W-facing slope. With Chrysothamnus, Atriplex, Artemisia, pinyon, juniper, Agropyron. Pale gray-tan shaley sandstone clay with chunks of broken sandstone.

Plants with multiple stems from spongy-woody taproot; flowers 22 x 22 mm, perianth campanulate, pale pink-lavender. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
