Location
Bolivia. La Paz. Inquisivi Prov. "Yamora-Iguasani" - On the slopes between Communidad Yamora, and Communidad Iguasani. 5-6 km SE of Inquisivi.

Habitat
An isolated patch of cloud forest remains on the Southwest facing slope above Iguasani. The most part of the Yamora area is dry, and seriously eroding from overgrazing and poor cultivation methods. On the Iguasani side of the ridge a remnant patch of cloud forest remains with a number of rare species.

Description
Plants only 1-2 m high with 1" trunk. Differs from #37393 in that the trunk and often the twigs are spiny, and the leaves large. Flowers blue-purple, same size as #37393. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Notes (shown on label)
Possibly a juvenile form of #37393. I see also #37411 which proves this to be a juvenile form!
