    20° E-facing windblown sandy slopes below ridgeline of basaltic outcrops. With Holodiscus microphyllus, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Angelica linearifolia, Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Prunus emarginata. Abundant on sandy leeward slope. Soft pumice soil.
