37° 53.575'N, 118° 50.832'W; T1S R28E SI, NW/4 of NW/4).
Alt.: 2439m/8000ft.
Heavily grazed area with dry cattle trough. Granitic soil w/
scattered granite outcrops, basaltic ridges above, and conspicuous
NE-facing leeward sandy slopes. Upland scrub of Artemisia
tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Leptodactybnpungens,
Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Leymus cinereus, Achnatherum
hymenoides, Phacelia bicolor, Cryptantha circumscissa.
Common on leeward sandy 23° N-facing slopes w/ Mimulus.
