    Soil pockets in rocky bluish-white or brownish-red quartzite colluvium and outcrops on exposed ridgeline. Subalpine low sagebrush scrub with Artemisia arbuscula, Erigeron compositus, Letodactylon pungens, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus var. v., Draba oligosperma, Senecio canus, Phlox longifolia, Leucopoa kingii, Arabis ophira, Cymopterus ibapensis, etc.
