Ecuador. Napo. Yasuní Scientific Research Station. Río Tiputini, NE of its confluence with Río Tivacuno, 6 km E of Maxus Road, km 44, off spur road to Tivacuno oilwell. Adjacent to station dock.

Habitat
Disturbed forest, between river floodplain and terra firme. Very common near station. Many individuals seen in flower at same time. Red clay soil.

Description
Tree, 15 m, with branches at top of trunk giving lollypop appearance. Flowers yellow, tinged red below. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
