Secondary scrub and bosque húmedo. Locally abundant but restricted in secondary scrub.

Description
Scandent shrub to 3 m; leaves membranaceous, discolorous, dark green above, paler below, dull on both faces; calyces pale green, petals bright yellow, anthers yellow, style pale green; fruits hard, tomato-like, pendulous and heavy, green. Phenology of specimen: Flower , Fertile.
