In a bosque muy húmedo/bosque pluvial montano transition zone. Rainfall approx. 2000mm/yr.

Description
Prostrate, spreading shrub. Flowers pendant, the petals pale lavender with a darker lavender midvein and a darker secondary venation pattern. Stamens bright yellow. Style pale green with a darker green tip. Young leaves show a slight bluish sheen below. Older leaves retain some of this glossiness. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.
