Mexico. Veracruz. La Perla Mun. N side of Pico de Orizaba, above the Piedra Grande mountaineering shelter. Each species collected when first encountered when descending from base of Glaciar de Jamapa (4600 m) to the Piedra Grande shelter (4100 m).

Alpine tundra; very steep slopes of bare rock and tallus slopes.
