Specimen Notes
There is a written annotation in pencil on the specimen sheet as follows: In the shortness of the pedicels this agrees with V. Thurberii, Wats. in Proc. Am. Acad. 25. p. 129 - but the size of the plant & the stipules refer it to V. exigua - probably these two species and V. Hassei are all one species.
