Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of island Ilha Aramaçá in Benjamin Constant, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Ilha Aramaçá, located at the confluence of Rio Solimões and Rio Javari (synonymous with Rio Yavari). Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the total extent of the island; halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of the island. Measured the specified distance (approximately) from one extreme of the island toward the center of the island, then used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the geographic center of the island. Used linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the island) as the uncertainty radius.
