    Margin of "chacra" (swidden plantationof manioc). Common in manioc planting, especially at interface with forest. Common.

  • Description

    Shrub or tree to 5 m x 7 cm, petals blue within, blue with triangular patch of green without; androecium yellow. Fruits immature, said to mature yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

    When one is cut by the thorns, there is usually an allergic reaction involving much itchiness in vicinity of wound. It is also said these cuts take a long time to heal.
