Description
Huge tree. A huge tree with wide-spreading branches (as in subsp. horizontalis), with ash-light gray bark, finely fissured; the female cones on this tree unusally huge, ca. 4 cm. long, and resembling subsp. cephalonica Auct. from cephalonica Islands, Greece. Anold tree; other old trees of this species on adjacent areas of campus. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
