    Cultivated in the northern section, ca. 200 ft. west of Silba No. B-348 (Pinus armandii subsp. farjonii).

    Tree. Most likely an original wild-collection of Dr. Child Fricks (noted paleontologist) from Shui-Sha Valley (Metasequoia area), norhtwestern Hupeh, in 1948. Cultivated. Child Fricks Arboretum (=Bryant Arboretum). Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
