Habitat
Cultivated in the Arboretum, opposite two large trees of Pinus halepensis, opposite a service road.

Description
Tree. A broadly-ovate shaped tree, branched to the ground, with dark-green glandular foliage; cones abundant on treel tree ca. 20 years old; much broader form than narrow 'Stricta' like trees of this Algerian species seen cultivated at University of California at Santa Cruz. Seeds notably flattened with elongated wings, cone with double nipple at the apex. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
