Cultivated in mid-section of the Pinetum.

Description
Tree. This species is mostly evergreen here, one tree was semi-evergreen; tree medium-sized, but no cones seen; one other tree thought to be Glyptostobus (at Golden Gate Park) n ow identified as this species instead; few strobili. Trees notably drooping (weeping); small oval knees (pneumatophores) noted here at stream (moist habitat). Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
