Description
Arborescent, 8m tall (one plant 13m tall), with definite trunk. Trunk spineless (sample included), 20cm wide. Ribs 6 to occasionally 8. The ribs sometimes only 6mm wide when 2cm high (peak of the dry season). Ribs with several cm long spines collected from a separate juvenile plant (1.5m tall). Many fruiting plants. Fruits green, the spines caducous. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
