Colombia. Chocó. Area of Baudó. On right bank of river Baudó, about 13 km upstream from estuary, and a little above estuary of Quebrada Carpio.

Habitat
On relatively dry firm soil above river bank (on tierra firme), outside influence of high tide, at edge of secondary jungle (old rastrojo).

Description
Small tree, about 3 to 4 m high; stem diameter 1.50 m above ground 10 cm; flowers small, with white petals, potato-like; fruits ground, green, yellow when ripe. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
