Description
herb. Terrestrial; internodes short., to 3.5 cm. diam.; cataphylls persistent as reddish-brown fibrous mass; petioles quadrangular, the margin with a thin spreading wing; blades semiglossy; major vein raised, paler than surface; the primaries weakly raised, in deep valleys, tertiaries prominently to weakly sunken; lower surface slightly paler, weakly glossy, the posterior rib smooth, the basal veins acutely raised; primaries acutel tertiaries prominently raised; spathe green, reflexed; spadix dark violet-purple; berries purple, white at base. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
