  • Description

    Culms arising singly several m. apart 18-20 m. tall with thin walls, light green and covered witha fine white pubescence when young, erect and rising through the trees, then producing a single dominant branch 1 m. long or less at each of the upper nodes. New culm leaves persistent, displaced by the patches of dense short brown hairs that rub off easily; blades at top erect but soon becoming reflexed and hard. Foliage wilts quickly after culm is severed.
