Habitat
Dry unstable slope on flanks of volcanic mesa. Common with Atriplex canescens, Salvia dorrii, Nama aretioides, Glyptopleura marginata, Namacladus rigidus and Bromus tectorum. Fine-textured soil derived from basalt.
