Description
Cultivated shrubs, 4 m. tall, with several trunks to 15 cm. in diameter from the base, with a dense crown. Leaves whitened beneath. Fruit light red. This species is escaped along highway from Geneva to Ithaca, especially in old fields where it is scattered but sometimes common. It does not seem to be especially successful in colonizing brushy fencerows. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
