On ridgetop. Exposed narrow rocky ridgeline running S-N. With Pinus monophylla, Juniperus occidentalis, Artemisia tridentata, Holodiscus microphylla, Cercicarpus ledifolius. Uncommon. Bishop tuff rhyolite with shallow pumice alluvium downslope.
