United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: Eastern flank of Glass Mountain Ridge. At end of faunt 4-wheel drive road running S from Sawmill Meadow. Approx. 1 mile due S of meadow. (Glass Mountain quad).

Habitat
Steep 20° ENE-facing slope. Intermixt with dominant Pinus contorta. Rainshadow-dry Pinus contorta forest with scant understory of Ericameria suffruticosa, Linanthus nuttallii, Koeleria macrantha. Occasional. Soft pumice gravel and sand.
