    Rocky granitic ridge in Pinus monophylla woodland. With Artemisia tridentata, Ephedra viridis, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Achnatherum hymenoides, Cryptantha confertiflora, Phacelia bicolor, Eriastrum, Mentzelia. Occasional on ridgetop, usually from rock bases.
