type, "On the folder this [specimen 815047] is marked "type." On the packet, it is maked "type, I guess." The material is wholly inadequate for study. It can hardly be the type, since Kauffman says the type is at Ann Arbor. Dec. 19, 1962. L. R. Hesler"; [it is worth noting that this is certainly not a type despite being marked as such, coming from the wrong locality (the type is from Michigan) and being collected 17 years after the original description was published]
