Rain forest, hilly terrain, growing on midslope. lateritic soils.

Description
Palm clustering, understory with 2-2.5m x 5-8mm truck. LEAVES, coriaceous, glossy, bifid, 7 in crown, spirally arranged and spreading. Androgynous INFLORESCENCE. Fruits dark red in color and 14-15mm long and 8-9mm in diameter. Name suggested by J. Gerard. Stems black with stepped nodes. Same species as NOBLICK 5043 (951158) Endocarp 13 x 5mm. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
