Habitat
Primary forest on terra firme, mostly level terrain, deeply dissected by a few large streams; canopy open, as is much of understory. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again in places approx. 12 years after dieback. Rare.

Description
vine. Vine 2.5 m in tree, inflorescence bracts white tinged with pink, veins red, stamens white. Edge of stream.
