Mixed forest. with Ocotea canaliculata, Dipteryx so., Licania alba, Chlorocardium rodiei, Swartzia leiocalycina. brown sand.

Description
Tree, 25m tall, dbh 40cm. Base swollen, with 1 buttress opposite leaning direction of 0.5 c 0.5 x 0.1m. Bark dark brown, smooth, somewhat flaky, lenticellate, with flake marks. Flakes vertical, elongate, 5-20(-50) x 2.4 x 0.1-0.2cm. Lenticels round, 0.5-1.5mm diam., densely arranged in patches. Dead bark 0.1mm thick, dark brown. Living bark red-pink, with a green layer of ca. 0.5mm just below dead bark, very fibrous, 2-3mm thick. Sapwood light brown. Leaves somewhat shiny above. Pedicels and calyx red-green; corolls light yellow, tinged reddish. Seperate: wood, slides bark, slash.
