Description
Pileus 1-3 cm broad, plano-convex to plane with margin incurved to inrolled; surface dry with a zone of velar patches ± from half way to margin, mostly whitish toward margin, yellowish white (4A2-5A2) from half way to disc; margin with appendiculate veil remnants. Flesh 1-3 mm thick, white, solid; odor mild; taste mild. Lamellae apparently free, crowded, not marginate, up to 2 mm broad, white. Stipe central to eccentric, rarely lateral, strict or curved; ± equal with a bulbous base, tough textured; surface white, squarrose scaly in mid portion, striate near apex, annular zone (annulus?) obvious near base as single ring or concentric bands, these latter becoming ochraceous with age. Phenology of specimen: basidiomata.
