Habitat
Plants scattered on upper slope, some forming mats to 4" across. Open community of Artemisia tridentata wyomingensis, Artemisia arbuscula nova, Petrophytum caespitosum, and some Atriplex confertifolia; also Penstemon aridus, Hymenopappus filifolius idahoensis, Arenaria kingii, and Astragalus purshii concinnus.

Banner white, wings yellowish-cream, keel purple. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
