Habitat
Virgin forest, ravine of brook, in shade. Tree fern in wet sandy soil with organic matter.

Description
Trunk 5m tall, 20cm diam near apex, ±60cm diam at base. Adventitious roots forming a dense brown compact coat around trunk. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
