Habitat
Wet swampy forest along a small black water stream, with many palms, lianas and climbers. Abundant.

Description
Tree fern, trunks to 1.8m, DBH 3cm, fronds to 210 cm, basal pinnae borne 50-70cm from base of rachis. Trunk and rachis spiny. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
